In the near future, the film follows Teresa (Brbara Cole), who returns to the village of Bacurau for a Brazilian semi-dry serto to attend her grandmother’s funeral. Upon arrival, Teresa immediately saw signs that Bacurau was in serious condition. Basic amenities were lack of supplies, cell phone coverage decreased, access to clean water was blocked and trucks transporting drinking water came full of bullet holes. It soon became clear that the corrupt government had completely left the village: not only was Bacurau completely removed from the map but its citizens were attacked. Villagers should prepare regular matches as responsible for avoiding further injuries.
